Nicole and John | Westin Poinsett | Wedding DJ and Uplighting in Greenville

Upon meeting with Nicole and John, I could tell that wedding entertainment was at the top of their list. We are always honored when someone is looking for the best wedding DJ in Greenville, SC to fit their needs. They had already teamed up with some folks we love to work with and we too started planning for their wedding. Fast forward to their wedding day. Their reception was held in the Poinsett Room at The Westin Poinsett in downtown Greenville. We not only provided the DJ aspect of entertainment, but we also had our open-air photo booth on site (see the photobooth pics here), as well as our beautiful uplighting to round out their gorgeous venue. As you can see in the pictures, their wedding day was full of beautiful moments and a TON of fun, which takes me to their wedding celebration. Simply put, it was a BLAST! Packed dance floor, smiles all around, and a bride and groom having the time of their lives.

Chelsea and Trey's Wedding | Westin Poinsett | Greenville DJ

This is a 2016 throwback wedding that we were extremely fortunate to be a part of. Trey and Chelsea had seen us at a couple of their friends' weddings and loved us so much that when it came time for their wedding, Chelsea sought us out. During our planning process prior to their wedding, she actually became the Wedding Sales Manager at one of our favorite venues, The Westin Poinsett, which coincidentally, was where their wedding was to be held. Here we are a year after their wedding and I love getting to see Chelsea every time we head to downtown Greenville for a wedding at the Westin Poinsett. Kim & Mark | Poinsett Club Wedding | Luxe DJ Package

Kim asked to make it feel like their were stars on the ceiling of the Poinsett Club, we made her wish come true. They are a couple who wanted to celebrate in ultimate style. To match with the personalization of the room, Mark & Kim put together several special elements to wow their guests even further.

What better way then to keep the kids entertained then their own special table with activites galore!

Kim & Mark made their grand entrance into the color-filled room and began their long awaited first dance as husband & wife. They chose the classic "You're My Home" by Billy Joel.

Kim wanted to take a few minutes out of the evening to have a special dance with her son.

Mark & Kim are loved by some many people. Several special people in their life requested to say a few words to the newlyweds. 

After speeches, dancing kicked off and the food was open. Mark & Kim had it all at their reception, including a Bacon Bar!

Whitney & Brandon | View Point at Buckhorn Creek | DJ & Photo Booth

As wedding DJ's, we celebrate with many couples every year. There is always that one couple that stands out from the crowd. The couple that is full of life and love. Whitney & Brandon is that couple. They live busy lives but they live them to the fullest. Brandon's adventurous hobby is flying planes while Whitney is an avid horseback rider. Like their personal lives, Whitney & Brandon wanted their wedding day to be full of fun and love and the details are to the T. It began with their venue, View Point at Buckhorn Creek. Do you remember the origami paper fortune tellers from way back when? Whitney and Brandon transformed this childhood game into beautiful wedding programs.

Whitney & Brandon decided to seal a bourbon barrel during their ceremony. Each placed a letter inside the barrel. In a certain amount of time, they are to open the box, cheers to the memories made & read the letters.

A first dance is one of the most special moments of the evening. Whitney & Brandon chose "You Are The Best Thing" by Ray LaMontagne.

Besides Brandon, Whitney has two other special men in her life, her father & stepfather. She chose to dance with both gentlemen on her wedding day. 

Matthew Pautz truly out did himself in capturing these evening couple photos.

Whitney & Brandon had a high energy group of family & friends that packed the dance floor all night.

Even Grandma had to have a chance to dance!

Ashley & Mark | Zen | Greenville, SC Wedding DJ

Ashley & Mark met one evening while attending Western Kentucky University. It was your classic football player & cheerleader love story. After Mark graduated, he moved back to SC. Not long after that, Ashley followed Mark to the Palmetto State where they decided to start a family & get married. Being that the couple had family coming in from all over, Ashley & Mark decided to hold their wedding reception at Zen- An Elegant Space for Hire. With its modern but classic style, it is the perfect blank canvas to make your own.  Zen is located in downtown Greenville, within walking distance to many hotels & shops that guests can visit while in town. Another enticing aspect about Zen is that you are able to choose from many different caterers and vendors for your day. Mark's side of the family is VERY Italian. The couple wanted to pay tribute to this, so they hired Luna Rosa to bring in their homemade Gelato. This was a fun & delicious personalized aspect to their day. We would like to thank Ashley & Mark for choosing Uptown Entertainment as their DJ. They, like all couples, have several choices in the area. Courtney & Chris' Wedding DJ & Photo Booth

Chris & Courtney meet while attending PA school. During an evening out with classmates, they struck up a conversation and quickly realized they had a lot in common. Their core beliefs of family, faith, & football laid a strong foundation in their relationship that helped it grow into what it is today. Chris & Courtney each have multiple siblings they are close with. With their marriage, they knew that they were not only joining as one but they were joining a family together. Due to that, it was important that both their faith & family were an integral into their day. They chose the beautiful Glassy Mountain Chapel as the backdrop for their wedding day. After their nuptials, family and friends traveled down the mountain to The Cliffs Valley Clubhouse for food, laughter, & dancing. Uptown Entertainment had the privilege of providing the soundtrack for their night as well as a fun, interactive photo booth. Courtney's bridesmaids presented her a beautiful scrapbook the morning of her wedding. Each wrote a note as a keepsake in celebration of the day.

Since they are so close to their siblings, Courtney & Chris decided to hold a joint special dance with them. Courtney took turns dancing with each of her brothers as Chris danced with his sister. At the end of the song, all the siblings joined on the dance floor. They danced to "You've Got A Friend in Me" by Randy Newman.

Leah & Alex | The Cliffs at Keowee Vineyard Lakehouse

Every couple has a story. How they met, where their first date was, stories of their adventures together and eventually how they knew the other person was the one. At Uptown, we believe in getting to know these stories. We could simply ask for a list of songs the couple would like played, but instead we choose to learn about our couples and then customized a soundtrack for their day. Leah & Alex's story goes way back as they are high school sweethearts. After almost 10 years together, they celebrated their wedding day at Glassy Mountain Chapel & At the Cliffs at Keowee Vineyards Lakehouse. When we meet with Leah & Alex they said they wanted their day to be fun & energetic. One way they decided to accomplish that was by taking the traditional dances and jazzing them up a bit. We worked with them to create the perfect mixes for each special dance. No matter the weather, somehow The Glassy Mountain Chapel is always the perfect backdrop for a wedding day.

Instead of a first look, Leah & Alex chose to read letters from each other while standing on opposite sides of a door. This allowed Todd from Magnolia Studios to capture an intimate moment with the couple without them seeing one another before the ceremony.

Instead of individual place cards, Leah & Alex wrote their guests' seating locations on beautiful old windows.

Prior to being introduced into the reception, our couple drove to the Lakehouse in style in a beautiful Aston Martin V8 Vantage Convertible.

We introduced the new Mr. & Mrs into the recpetion playing "Can't Stop The Feeling" by Justin Timberlake 

Leah & Alex chose to start their first dance with the beautiful song "Thinking Out Load" by Ed Sheeran but then....

...busted into "Shake Your Groove Thing" by Peaches & Herb. So fun!

Alex & his mom chose the upbeat song "Take Me To Your Heaven" by Charlotte Nilsson for their dance together.

Of course, Dad could not let the Groom have all the fun so he & Leah did a coregraphed dance to a mix of songs that included: "Daughters"-John Mayer, "Grease Lightning", "Apache"- Sugarhill, "Jump On it" and lastly "Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees.

Guests of all edges filled the dance floor all night!

As an entertainment vendor, you can typically find us behind a DJ booth picking out the next tune or helping a guest decide on the perfect photo booth accessory. We do not often have the opportunity to be a part of earlier in the day as our couples are getting ready to walk down the aisle or have a chance to see all the magical moments that occur before everyone hits the dance floor. Gigi's killed it with this beautiful cake & cupcake display. Not only did they look awesome, but they tasted even better.
