Every time we step on the property at Chestnut Ridge we instantly feel like we have stepped into a wedding magazine. The venue, the décor, the couple; just everything about this stunning place makes our job that much better! Early this summer we had the pleasure of being at Chestnut Ridge for Joanah and Andrew’s celebration and it was just truly magical. 

The day was absolutely perfect that day and we could not have asked for better weather while celebrating this amazing couple! Joanah and Andrew’s ceremony was sweet and simple, just like their love. While meeting with Joanah and Andrew earlier in the planning process, they both said they could not wait to dance and have party with their friends and loved ones. They had waited so long to do so, and that night was going to be filled with three things: good food, great memories and a whole lot of interesting dance moves. And let us be the first to say, the hit all three things perfectly! 

Andrew and Joanah, thank you for allowing Uptown Entertainment to be part of your special day! You guys have a beautiful future ahead of you and we know it will be filled with lots of love! Cheers!

Heyward Manor and The Bleckley Station Wedding DJ | Anderson, SC | Nicole and Jerome

Two words: HOLY MOLY! If there were ever a dream wedding for a vendor to end the year with, it would be Nicole and Jerome’s fairytale Christmas wedding in Anderson, South Carolina. This couple pulled out all the stops and it was the most epic wedding of our career! 

Nicole and Jerome met well working at Wild Wings and their rock loving souls were destine to be together forever. When meeting with Nicole and Jerome they both said “we do not want the typical wedding reception. We want our reception to be like a rock concert!” Um, come again? Was this real life? Where all our reception DJ dreams coming true or were we just daydreaming? Little did we know, what we had in mind for a ‘rock concert reception’, Nicole and Jerome wanted bigger and better, and we loved every single minute of it! 

They chose to tie the knot at one of our favorite hidden gems in Anderson, Heyward Manor. This venue is the ultimate barn/rustic dreams! After tying the knot, they moved over to The Bleckley Station where it was decked out to the dang nines!! 

From the light up wristbands for guests to the choreographed first dance with their entire bridal party, Nicole and Jerome wanted their reception to be one to remember, and boy would it be one we would never forget! Nicole and Jerome, THANK YOU for allowing Uptown Entertainment to be part of such a magically epic day. We truly could not have imagined it any other way. Westin Poinsett Hotel Wedding DJ | Greenville, SC | Madison and Haden

Haden and Madison’s beautiful winter wonderful celebration was one of the last of the year, and it was absolutely magical. On December 19th three years prior to that day, Haden had asked Madison to be his girlfriend. They felt it was only appropriate to keep that date close to their hearts by tying the knot on that exact day. Not only was this the dating anniversary but it was also Madison’s parents wedding anniversary. This day was filled with so much love and joy and we were thrilled to be a part of it. 

Haden and Madison chose to get married at one of Greenville’s favorite wedding destinations, The Westin Poinsett Hotel. To see this venue through the year is one thing, but to see it at Christmas time is a whole other! They take decking the halls to the extreme are we are here for it each and every year. Not only did Haden and Madison have beautiful Christmas trees lit with holiday lights, the gorgeous uplighting helped accent the room perfectly.

The Reserve at Lake Keowee Wedding DJ | Sunset, SC | Alexis & John

Mutual friends of Alexis and John just knew they would be the perfect match for one another, and after some convincing these two became absolutely inseparable. And after meeting the two of them, we could not have agreed more! From the start of their ceremony, the love we felt in the room from Alexis and John, as well as their guests, was so pure. 

Alexis and John chose a venue that can certainly be considered one of the South Carolina’s hidden gems located in the hills of Sunset. From the beautiful view seen from the back porch to the full-service staff, The Reserve at Lake Keowee Clubhouse has all the wedding amenities an engaged couple could ask for.  

Their dance floor was packed all night and the moves definitely did not disappoint. Alexis and John, thank you for allowing us to get to know you and be part of such an amazing day as you two joined together to become one. We wish you a long life of love and happiness!

Anyone else binge watching the Hallmark channel for all the Christmas in July movies? No? Just us? Either way, after looking back through Kelsey and Garrett’s photos of their mid-December wedding 3 years ago we are BEGGING for them, and Hallmark, to give us more! 

Garrett and Kelsey chose to have their wedding reception at one of the most iconic wedding venues, and hotels, in Downtown Greenville, South Carolina. The Westin Poinsett has so much to offer couples as they embark on this fun journey in life. From the beautiful gold elevator and staircases that are just begging to be used in a photo opt to their breathtaking ‘Gold Room’ Grand Ballroom that is every classic wedding’s dream that will give you all the heart eyes emoji feels when entering! 

Everything about their wedding reception was truly magical. We know, we know; everything in the month of December is ‘magical’ but their wedding day takes the cake for us. We accented the room with our stunning uplighting, and topped it off with a custom monogram lighting shined on the dance floor.

They say rain on your wedding day is good thing. The rain symbolizes the washing away your past, while the rainbow filled skies that follows symbolizes the beautiful beginnings that your future holds. Does sideways rain mean the same thing? For those of you that are not familiar with South Carolina during a rainstorm, it ALWAYS rains sideways. Regardless of the sideways rain, Alex and Zach had a beautiful day ahead of them at the Huguenot Loft in downtown Greenville, SC. 

 If you have not been to the Huguenot Loft, you are truly missing out. This venue is stunning; from the exposed brick to the windows overlooking the Reedy River this venue is iconic in the Greenville, SC wedding industry. 

 Happiness and joy filled the entire room throughout the entire day regardless of the obstacles this sweet couple faced. During the ceremony there was not a dry in the house. The sweet moments Alex and Zach shared were ones that everyone felt that day. Their reception was full of energy, excitement and a full dance floor. All of Alex and Zach’s guests surrounded them on the dance floor and with love. 

 Zach and Alex, it was such an honor to be part of your special day. We truly enjoyed watching your family and friends fill your day with some of the best moments of your life. We wish you nothing but years of love and happiness.

The Cliffs at Glassy Wedding DJ | Landrum, SC | Amy & Tom

This past weekend was a H-O-T one! All we could think about was the crisp October breeze that filled the air at The Cliffs at Glassy Clubhouse two years ago. Their ballroom is filled with wall-to-wall windows that allows stunning nature light, the covered back patio offers a breathtaking view all throughout year and a large beautiful stone fireplace that is perfect for winter events. The Cliffs at Glassy Clubhouse is hands down a venue with endless possibilities. 

Amy and Tom chose to accent the clubhouse with beautiful uplighting which really made the room pop after the sun went down. Their reception was so clean with gorgeous fresh florals and crisp ivory linens. 

While meeting with Amy and Tom, we knew the love they shared for one another was like no other. It was so pure and kind. All throughout the evening Tom and Amy laughed, danced and surrounded themselves with love and happiness from their guests. Tom and Amy, it was a pleasure working with you and celebrating with your friends and loved ones. Cheers to many years of love and happiness.

For the love of cheese balls! The energy, the overflowing amount of love, the dance moves… everything about this wedding was 100% one for the books. When we met with Marie and Cameron, we instantly knew we’d have fun with this wedding. The ceremony and reception were held at one of our favorite venues in Downtown Greenville, Larkin’s, The L. Everything about this venue was perfect for their early November wedding. 

While getting ready, Cameron and Marie decided they wanted to do a first look to ensure there would be plenty of time to be on the dance floor. They both share a love for this precious pup, Kinkade, so they had to feature him in a few pictures as well. Kinkade sported served looks just like his moms. 

As the ceremony began, you could feel the love that filled the room. While reciting their vows to one another, both Cameron and Marie had a smile that beamed from ear to ear. They were truly made for each other and this was the happiest day of their lives. 

After dinner, Cameron had a full wardrobe change and Marie strapped on her dancing boots and her fedora and was ready to P-A-R-T-Y! We knew these girls shared a love for music and dancing but had no idea their guests did as well. Everywhere we looked Cameron and Marie’s guests were laughing, singing and dancing the night away. 

Marie and Cameron it was truly an honor being part of your day! We wish you many years of love and happiness.

Katherine and Britt's Magical Westin Poinsett Wedding

Where do I begin with Katherine and Britt's wedding reception and celebration. At Uptown Entertainment, we have been focusing on elevating the aesthetics and appearances of wedding entertainment. Their wedding featured our new Luxe Package, with custom built DJ booth, uplighting, and premium lighting and sound. Not only did we have an amazing DJ setup, but we also provided our ALL NEW Motion Monogram on their dance floor (see pictures below). On top of all of that, we created a custom ceiling lighting design an incorporated a floral motif to carry the over-the-top floral theme all the way through their wedding celebration. All of this came together so well and it looked AMAZING! Now that I've geeked out about what we provided, let me say that we had a stellar reception, full of love, special moments, and LOTS of dancing.
