When watching Madison and Christopher throughout the night of their reception all that came to mind was the song “How Sweet it is to be Loved by You”. They were kind and caring towards one another and it was such a fun experience getting to know them and learning all about their big wedding plans. 

Madison and Christopher fell in love with one of Greenville’s most well-known venues, Larkin’s, The L. We are huge fans of this venue and all that is has to offer with the exposed brick, beautiful draping and stunning hardwood floors where Madison and Christopher had the best time dancing the night away with their family and friends.

Madison and Christopher, thank you for allowing Uptown Entertainment to be part of your special day! You two bring out the best in each other and we cannot wait to see where life takes the two of you. May your life together be filled with lots of love and laughter. Cheers!

Heyward Manor and The Bleckley Station Wedding DJ | Anderson, SC | Nicole and Jerome

Two words: HOLY MOLY! If there were ever a dream wedding for a vendor to end the year with, it would be Nicole and Jerome’s fairytale Christmas wedding in Anderson, South Carolina. This couple pulled out all the stops and it was the most epic wedding of our career! 

Nicole and Jerome met well working at Wild Wings and their rock loving souls were destine to be together forever. When meeting with Nicole and Jerome they both said “we do not want the typical wedding reception. We want our reception to be like a rock concert!” Um, come again? Was this real life? Where all our reception DJ dreams coming true or were we just daydreaming? Little did we know, what we had in mind for a ‘rock concert reception’, Nicole and Jerome wanted bigger and better, and we loved every single minute of it! 

They chose to tie the knot at one of our favorite hidden gems in Anderson, Heyward Manor. This venue is the ultimate barn/rustic dreams! After tying the knot, they moved over to The Bleckley Station where it was decked out to the dang nines!! 

From the light up wristbands for guests to the choreographed first dance with their entire bridal party, Nicole and Jerome wanted their reception to be one to remember, and boy would it be one we would never forget! Nicole and Jerome, THANK YOU for allowing Uptown Entertainment to be part of such a magically epic day. We truly could not have imagined it any other way. Old Cigar Warehouse Wedding DJ | Greenville, SC | Sheridan & Sara

These two sports fans Sara and Sheridan both have hearts of gold and we were PUMPED when they asked to be part of their special day. We’ve had the pleasure of working with Sheridan over the years with My Wedding Group, but when we met Sara, we instantly know these two were perfect for each other. 

Sara and Sheridan chose Old Cigar Warehouse for their wedding ceremony and reception. Check out some of our previous blog posts to learn more about the historical Old Cigar Warehouse event venue. 

The venue was detailed with vibrant colors that accented the exposed brick perfectly. As the Best Brothers made their way down the alter followed by the rest of the bridal party, we kept eyeing the Flower Guy and we knew we would be in for a real treat. He took his role seriously and we must say, we have never seen anything like it. It was truly a sight that had everyone giggling, and just what Sara and Sheridan needed to shake the nerves. 

Once the party began, it truly never stopped. Sara and Sheridan were surrounded by family, friends, former teammates and a whole lot of love. Sara and Sheridan both stayed on the dance floor, and gave us the best moves all night. Sara really got the crowd really going when she did the worm! 

Of all the parties in 2020, theirs was definitely one of our favorites! Sara and Sheridan, watching you two become The Dooley’s was truly magical. Thank you for allowing Uptown Entertainment to be part of such a special day. We wish you many years of love and happiness. Oh, and just in case you were wondering, we are totally down to do a 1-year anniversary party. Cheers!

It all started at Wofford College when Melissa was working in the Sports Marketing Coordinator for the Athletic Department and JJ was the Assistant Baseball Coach. Their love for sports would allow them to bond over time and end up being the ultimate key that sealed the deal for these two.

The Reserve at Lake Keowee Wedding DJ | Sunset, SC | Alexis & John

Mutual friends of Alexis and John just knew they would be the perfect match for one another, and after some convincing these two became absolutely inseparable. And after meeting the two of them, we could not have agreed more! From the start of their ceremony, the love we felt in the room from Alexis and John, as well as their guests, was so pure. 

Alexis and John chose a venue that can certainly be considered one of the South Carolina’s hidden gems located in the hills of Sunset. From the beautiful view seen from the back porch to the full-service staff, The Reserve at Lake Keowee Clubhouse has all the wedding amenities an engaged couple could ask for.  

Their dance floor was packed all night and the moves definitely did not disappoint. Alexis and John, thank you for allowing us to get to know you and be part of such an amazing day as you two joined together to become one. We wish you a long life of love and happiness!

Lions Gate Manor Wedding DJ | Spartanburg, SC | Justin & Sarah

WOW! What a beautiful day. Sarah and Justin were one of the best couples we had in 2019. They were both full of life and ready to eat, drink and be married (and PARTY, of course!). Sarah and Justin chose one of Spartanburg’s very own secret garden for their late Spring wedding, the Lions Gate Manor. Established in 2015, Lions Gate Manor was once a English Country style home that was built in 1978. It’s perfectly settled Croft State Park and Foster’s Creek, the 7-acre property has hundreds of oak trees, a beautiful waterfall, creek and more. 

As their ceremony started, we knew this was going to be an emotional one. There was such love and happiness that surrounded Sarah and Justin, and there was not a dry eye in the house to prove it. One the reception began, it was a it was a party for the books! Sarah and Justin had all their favorite hits played and their guests were loving every minute of it. When they were not dropping it low on the dance floor, everyone was enjoying our Social Share Photo Booth. 

Sarah had a perfect vision of how she wanted their wedding day to be and he vendors team made it happen. Check out everyone that had a hand in making this beautiful vision transform into a real-life fairytale down at the bottom.

The Venue at Falls Park Wedding DJ | Greenville, SC | Meagan & Daniel

Four days before Meagan and Daniel were supposed to get married COVID created an extra hurdle they did not see coming. In those 4 days, they had their dream wedding decrease to a fifteen person maximum ceremony, and they would have to reschedule their reception for a later date. Although it was not what they had hoped for, they did not allow it to stand in their way. 

Fast forward several weeks, they were finally able to have their dream reception with their family and friends. Everything about this day was perfect. Meagan and Daniel did not have the wedding day jitters, and were both ready to just celebrate. During the final planning meeting, Meagan told us that her and Daniel both were extremely excited to finally being able to have their party, and they wanted it to last all night! Meagan was most eager about the cryo cannon, and could not wait to use that.

Revel and Larkin's L Wedding DJ | Greenville, SC | Sara & Greyson

If there ever were a perfect July day for a wedding it would have been Sara and Greyson’s wedding day. Although it was a hot day, there was a nice breeze that was always blowing at the right times. Throughout the entire day, everything seemed to just flow so effortlessly. 

Sara and Greyson chose to have their ceremony and reception at two different locations; both being two of our favorites in the upstate. The chose one of the infamous Larkin’s venues, The L, for ceremony and Revel Event Center for the reception. The ceremony was so stunning with the beautiful tulle draping and simple aisle markers. While the reception was set with beautiful lace linens, gold accents and fresh florals. 

The reception was a full party from start to end! The uplighting, the disco glow sticks, the club cannon – it was everything a wedding couple could dream of. Sara and Greyson, thank you so much for allowing us to be part of your special day! It was absolutely beautiful, and we wish you many more years of love and happiness. Bleckley Inn Wedding DJ | Anderson, SC | Carole Cochran & Christopher

Tucked in the heart of downtown Anderson, South Carolina, the Bleckley Inn is a beautiful little boutique hotel that quickly became the ideal location for a late May wedding. There were so many things to be celebrated on that holiday weekend; Memorial Day, the rain (finally!) and having impeccable weather just long enough for these Phillips Family and Howard Family come together as one. 

From the moment she made her way down the aisle to her groom, we instantly had butterflies in our stomachs. It was like Christmas morning all over again. Something that was once part of daily lives that we had taken so for granted had become a true treasure to witness. Carole Cochran and Christopher weathered such a crazy and uncertain time like champs, and definitely inspired us to do the same. It was our first Saturday back in the game in over 8 weeks, and boy did it feel GREAT to be behind the turn table again! From the ceremony to the sendoff, we were in full wedding swing and loving every second of it. 

Before we knew it, the vows had been exchanged and we were introducing them as Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Howard to their family and friends that had come from near and far. Fresh florals and peaches filled the reception hall and gave it that perfect “Southern Wedding” feel. As their guests made their way outside to the tented courtyard the party began. Midway through the reception, Christopher and his Groomsmen had a wardrobe change into American flag tuxedo shirts. As Christopher spun has beautiful new bride around on the dance floor, we all knew what everyone was thinking, “‘Merica!”, and what could be more Southern than that?! Carole Cochran and Christopher continue to dance the night away as they were surrounded by their loved ones.

Victoria and Moore | Wedding DJ & Photobooth | Cannon Centre | Greer, SC

We are so happy to feature Victoria and Moore's awesome wedding that we had the honor of DJ'ing. They chose the Cannon Centre in Greer, SC, which has a beautiful park and many places to capture great pictures. We provided DJ services, blush Uplighting Package, and our Photo Booth Experience for their wedding celebration. Victoria and Moore are some of the sweetest people we've ever met and we had the best time working with them!

About the Couple: Victoria recently graduated from the University of South Carolina and Moore graduated from Clemson University. They have been together for five years. They got engaged on December 22, 2015 when Victoria's family planned a visit to The Biltmore House. According to Victoria, "Moore was suppose to come but couldn't. My family told me to dress up really nice because we were going to take Christmas photos there (I should've known something was up because my family never takes Christmas photos). We walked up the path to where you can take pictures with the whole Biltmore House behind you. My family wanted to just take some photos of me and after fixing my hair I looked up and saw Moore. He pulled me off to the side and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, of course I said yes!!" What a sweet engagement story! From there, the rest is history.
