Every time we step on the property at Chestnut Ridge we instantly feel like we have stepped into a wedding magazine. The venue, the décor, the couple; just everything about this stunning place makes our job that much better! Early this summer we had the pleasure of being at Chestnut Ridge for Joanah and Andrew’s celebration and it was just truly magical. 

The day was absolutely perfect that day and we could not have asked for better weather while celebrating this amazing couple! Joanah and Andrew’s ceremony was sweet and simple, just like their love. While meeting with Joanah and Andrew earlier in the planning process, they both said they could not wait to dance and have party with their friends and loved ones. They had waited so long to do so, and that night was going to be filled with three things: good food, great memories and a whole lot of interesting dance moves. And let us be the first to say, the hit all three things perfectly! 

Andrew and Joanah, thank you for allowing Uptown Entertainment to be part of your special day! You guys have a beautiful future ahead of you and we know it will be filled with lots of love! Cheers!

Greenbrier Farms Wedding DJ | Easley, SC | Claire & Hart

Claire and Hart picked one of the most romantic spots for their ceremony this past October. Looking down on all the Fall foliage and beautiful mountain tops, it truly could not have been more picturesque than that. The YMCA Camp Greenville Look Out, or better known as “Pretty Place Chapel”, was the perfect place for them to tie the knot.  

After the vows were said, it was time to party and what better place to have that party than the Greenbrier Farms located in Easley, South Carolina. We are not at this beautiful farm to table venue enough but when we are, we make the most of it. See our previous blog post on why we love Greenbrier Farms so much! 

Claire and Hart danced the night away with the family and friends and love every minute of it. We had the best time celebrating with them and watching their loved ones surround the newlyweds with love and happiness. School House Venue Wedding DJ | Travelers Rest, SC | Erin and Sean

Erin and Sean are the ultimate Boho couple! They just go with the flow and seem to have no worries, which we loved! When we asked how the met Erin gave us the best back story we had ever heard. They “met at Stomping Grounds Coffee Shop on October 8th, 2017. (Hence the name Ten Oh Eight). On that date, we found out that our siblings shared the exact same names, that our moms shared the same name, that we were insanely obsessed with world travel and lived in the same place at the same time in Australia, that we both played college basketball, that we drove the exact same white jeep and we shared a LOVE for coffee. Needless to say, we either needed to run far away from our crazy similarities or we were basically soulmates.” 

Not only do Erin and Sean own Ten Oh Eight photography but they are also the owners of The School House Venue in Travelers Rest in South Carolina. Formerly the Locust Hill School, Erin had all her wedding details ironed out and just needed to find a venue. After falling in love with this beautiful, she knew that it meant to be and that her and Sean would own it one day. After several long nights and a lot of hard work, this beautiful venue was ready for their wedding. 

We had the pleasure of working with Erin and Sean at another wedding that they photographed (Ten Oh Eight Photography), and when we heard they were engaged and getting married as well we just knew we had to DJ their wedding. From the sweet and simple ceremony, to the flash mob mom/son dance, this wedding was truly epic!

Larkin's, L Wedding DJ | Greenville, SC | Rebekah & Josh

Rebekah and Josh had a November wedding that was one for the books. The beautiful blues tones filled the ceremony and reception venue and added the perfect touch to this southern wedding. They chose to have their ceremony and reception at Larkin’s, The L, one of Larkin’s event venues downtown. This has to be one of our favorite Larkin’s venues because of the endless options this venue has to offer. 

They had guests travel from near and far to celebrate as they joined to together to become husband and wife. Rebekah and Josh had a reception party that never seemed to end, and we did not mind at all. They danced, laughed and made memories that will last them a lifetime. Rebekah and Josh, thank you for allowing us to be part of such a fun night celebrating your love for each other.

The Ridge Wedding DJ | Asheville, NC | Kaitlin & Joe

It sure will be hard to top this breathtaking mountain top wedding. Kaitlin and Joe truly had a fairy tale wedding, and we were so honored to be part of such a special day. From the moment Kaitlin and Joe were introduced into the reception we could see that their guests traveled from all over to shower them with the love. 

Joe and Kaitlin chose a venue that was coming new to us, The Ridge, in Asheville, and we were pumped to see what this new place was all about. Let me tell you, IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Holy moly, those views. I mean, we’d never seen anything like it. 

The dance floor stayed packed until the very end, and when the guests were not on the dance floor, they were smiling big for the camera, Mirror Photo Booth camera that is. After all the guests had exited for sparklers, the couple shared one last private dance with each other before exiting. Kaitlin and Joe thank you for allowing us to be part of your special day. Maybe it was the first date with tacos, maybe it was amortentia but either way these two muggles were destine to be together forever. As if these two were not already cute either, they also have a modern day love story. They met on a dating app, their first date was at a taco shop, and they bonded over their love for all things Harry Potter. 

Marissa and Patrick chose one of Anderson’s newest wedding venues, Huitt Farms. Located on a beautiful farm land estate, Huitt Farms is wall to wall white shiplap that creates the perfect backdrop for any theme and style the couple is looking for. We partied, we danced, we ate GREAT food. Basically, all things needed for the most epic wedding reception, we had covered. Marissa and Patrick, thank you for letting us be part of such a great dance party! Chestnut Ridge Wedding DJ | Canton, NC | Anna Grace & Brandon

There are so many things to be said about Anna Grace and Brandon’s wedding day in Canton, North Carolina. The stunning floral design, Anna Grace’s beautiful wedding dress and let us not forget about the AMAZING reception party. 

Anna Grace and Brandon chose a venue that is very new to us but one that we would become fond of as soon as we laid eyes on it. Once known as Medford Farm, Chestnut Ridge sits on a 150 acre family homestead. As previous tobacco farmers, it is still an operational sugar cane farm for old fashioned, vatted molasses and grazing livestock.

Their ceremony was simple and sweet just like the two of them, and then it was on to the real fun. There guests laughed, danced and filled the beautiful venue with love and happiness for the newlywed couple. Anna Grace and Brandon’s guests loved all the special effects that were involved in making their reception truly magical. Everything from the Mirror Photo Booth, Cold Spark Fountain First Dance, to the Club Cannon everyone was left with a lasting impression that this was the reception of the year! 

Anna Grace and Brandon, thank you for allowing Uptown Entertainment to be part of such a special day. We cannot believe that it has already been a year since you said your sweet vows to one another. May life bring you lots of love and burpees. Cheers!
