When watching Madison and Christopher throughout the night of their reception all that came to mind was the song “How Sweet it is to be Loved by You”. They were kind and caring towards one another and it was such a fun experience getting to know them and learning all about their big wedding plans. 

Madison and Christopher fell in love with one of Greenville’s most well-known venues, Larkin’s, The L. We are huge fans of this venue and all that is has to offer with the exposed brick, beautiful draping and stunning hardwood floors where Madison and Christopher had the best time dancing the night away with their family and friends.

Heyward Manor and The Bleckley Station Wedding DJ | Anderson, SC | Nicole and Jerome

Two words: HOLY MOLY! If there were ever a dream wedding for a vendor to end the year with, it would be Nicole and Jerome’s fairytale Christmas wedding in Anderson, South Carolina. This couple pulled out all the stops and it was the most epic wedding of our career! 

Nicole and Jerome met well working at Wild Wings and their rock loving souls were destine to be together forever. When meeting with Nicole and Jerome they both said “we do not want the typical wedding reception. We want our reception to be like a rock concert!” Um, come again? Was this real life? Where all our reception DJ dreams coming true or were we just daydreaming? Little did we know, what we had in mind for a ‘rock concert reception’, Nicole and Jerome wanted bigger and better, and we loved every single minute of it! 

They chose to tie the knot at one of our favorite hidden gems in Anderson, Heyward Manor. This venue is the ultimate barn/rustic dreams! After tying the knot, they moved over to The Bleckley Station where it was decked out to the dang nines!! 

From the light up wristbands for guests to the choreographed first dance with their entire bridal party, Nicole and Jerome wanted their reception to be one to remember, and boy would it be one we would never forget! Nicole and Jerome, THANK YOU for allowing Uptown Entertainment to be part of such a magically epic day. We truly could not have imagined it any other way. Westin Poinsett Hotel Wedding DJ | Greenville, SC | Madison and Haden

Haden and Madison’s beautiful winter wonderful celebration was one of the last of the year, and it was absolutely magical. On December 19th three years prior to that day, Haden had asked Madison to be his girlfriend. They felt it was only appropriate to keep that date close to their hearts by tying the knot on that exact day. Not only was this the dating anniversary but it was also Madison’s parents wedding anniversary. This day was filled with so much love and joy and we were thrilled to be a part of it. 

Haden and Madison chose to get married at one of Greenville’s favorite wedding destinations, The Westin Poinsett Hotel. To see this venue through the year is one thing, but to see it at Christmas time is a whole other! They take decking the halls to the extreme are we are here for it each and every year. Not only did Haden and Madison have beautiful Christmas trees lit with holiday lights, the gorgeous uplighting helped accent the room perfectly.

Greenbrier Farms Wedding DJ | Easley, SC | Claire & Hart

Claire and Hart picked one of the most romantic spots for their ceremony this past October. Looking down on all the Fall foliage and beautiful mountain tops, it truly could not have been more picturesque than that. The YMCA Camp Greenville Look Out, or better known as “Pretty Place Chapel”, was the perfect place for them to tie the knot.  

After the vows were said, it was time to party and what better place to have that party than the Greenbrier Farms located in Easley, South Carolina. We are not at this beautiful farm to table venue enough but when we are, we make the most of it. See our previous blog post on why we love Greenbrier Farms so much! 

Claire and Hart danced the night away with the family and friends and love every minute of it. We had the best time celebrating with them and watching their loved ones surround the newlyweds with love and happiness. Revel Event Center Wedding DJ | Greenville, SC | Brittney and Zachary

Zack quickly became the knight in shining armor the first night he met Brittney in a bar in Atlanta. Brittney was making small talk with someone while also sending Zack, a complete stranger at the time, the SOS signal to come save her. Luckily, for both of them he did and the rest was history. 

Brittney and Zack chose to have their wedding ceremony out at Patriots Point in Charleston, South Carolina while surrounded with a small group of family and close friends. After the ceremony, everyone then drove to Greenville, South Carolina for their wedding reception which was held at Revel Event Center.  

There guests were pumped full of energy as soon as Brittney and Zack began their first dance and the Indoor Spark Fountains went off. Everyone ate, drank and celebrated the beautiful couple being married, and of course enjoyed the dance floor. Their guests loved every minute of the playlist Adam was spinning out. Old Cigar Warehouse Wedding DJ | Greenville, SC | Sheridan & Sara

These two sports fans Sara and Sheridan both have hearts of gold and we were PUMPED when they asked to be part of their special day. We’ve had the pleasure of working with Sheridan over the years with My Wedding Group, but when we met Sara, we instantly know these two were perfect for each other. 

Sara and Sheridan chose Old Cigar Warehouse for their wedding ceremony and reception. Check out some of our previous blog posts to learn more about the historical Old Cigar Warehouse event venue. 

The venue was detailed with vibrant colors that accented the exposed brick perfectly. As the Best Brothers made their way down the alter followed by the rest of the bridal party, we kept eyeing the Flower Guy and we knew we would be in for a real treat. He took his role seriously and we must say, we have never seen anything like it. It was truly a sight that had everyone giggling, and just what Sara and Sheridan needed to shake the nerves. 

Once the party began, it truly never stopped. Sara and Sheridan were surrounded by family, friends, former teammates and a whole lot of love. Sara and Sheridan both stayed on the dance floor, and gave us the best moves all night. Sara really got the crowd really going when she did the worm! 

Of all the parties in 2020, theirs was definitely one of our favorites! Sara and Sheridan, watching you two become The Dooley’s was truly magical. Thank you for allowing Uptown Entertainment to be part of such a special day. We wish you many years of love and happiness. It all started at Wofford College when Melissa was working in the Sports Marketing Coordinator for the Athletic Department and JJ was the Assistant Baseball Coach. Their love for sports would allow them to bond over time and end up being the ultimate key that sealed the deal for these two.

Westfield Greenville Wedding DJ | Greenville, SC | Brooke and Caleb

These two love birds have had heart eyes for each other since 2012, and come rain, shine or COVID-19, Brooke and Caleb would see to it that their wedding would take place on June 6th, 2020. These two had dreamed of getting married on that specific day and nothing was going to stop them. Luckily for them, and us, they got married, and we got to be part of one epic party. 

Brooke and Caleb chose to exchange their vows at one of Greenville’s newest venues, Westfield Greenville. This beautiful event and wedding venue is located in the heart of downtown Greenville, South Carolina, and is a blank canvas that can complement any design style. 

It was truly magical watching Brooke and Caleb twirl around the dance floor during their first dance, and it is clear to everyone they cross paths with that they are truly in love. After finishing up dinner, Brooke was ready to get on the dance and boogie with all her friends and family. To Brooke and Caleb, thank you for allowing us to make all your wedding day dreams come true. The Huguenot Loft Wedding DJ | Greenville, SC | Gracie & Kevin

From wearing purple on the sidelines of Furman University to being in a sea of crimson down in Alabama, these two college athletes have been chasing each other all over the south since 2016. Gracie and Kevin were a match made in heaven from the beginning and we knew that they were head over heels from each other after meeting them for the first time. They were faced with many challenges throughout the planning process but they braved each one with grace and a smile. 

Gracie and Kevin got chose the Huguenot Loft and Mill as their wedding venue, and we must say, it’s definitely one of our favorite event venues that downtown Greenville has to offer. Check out the history of this incredible venue here. 

Gracie and Kevin ate, drank and celebrated becoming married by dancing the night away on the dance floor. Their guests surrounded them on dance floor all night and showered them with love and joy. Grace and Kevin, we could not have picked a more fun-loving couple to celebrate. Highlands, North Carolina is definitely hands down one of our new favorite wedding stop destinations. Something about the crisp air and the never ending Fall views just have us in awe every trip we take. Last month we had the opportunity to take a trip up to Highlands, North Carolina for Danielle and Dan’s beautiful Fall wedding at the Cullasaja Club Mountain Lodge Clubhouse. 

From the breathtaking ceremony views, to the beautifully designed clubhouse where their reception was held, everything about this location said ultimate the Fall wedding. Dan and Danielle said their vows with a beautiful mountain top backdown, and danced the night away with their friends and family. The excitement and energy levels filled the room and set the bar high for all of our weddings to follow.
