Heyward Manor and The Bleckley Station Wedding DJ | Anderson, SC | Nicole and Jerome

Two words: HOLY MOLY! If there were ever a dream wedding for a vendor to end the year with, it would be Nicole and Jerome’s fairytale Christmas wedding in Anderson, South Carolina. This couple pulled out all the stops and it was the most epic wedding of our career! 

Nicole and Jerome met well working at Wild Wings and their rock loving souls were destine to be together forever. When meeting with Nicole and Jerome they both said “we do not want the typical wedding reception. We want our reception to be like a rock concert!” Um, come again? Was this real life? Where all our reception DJ dreams coming true or were we just daydreaming? Little did we know, what we had in mind for a ‘rock concert reception’, Nicole and Jerome wanted bigger and better, and we loved every single minute of it! 

They chose to tie the knot at one of our favorite hidden gems in Anderson, Heyward Manor. This venue is the ultimate barn/rustic dreams! After tying the knot, they moved over to The Bleckley Station where it was decked out to the dang nines!! 

From the light up wristbands for guests to the choreographed first dance with their entire bridal party, Nicole and Jerome wanted their reception to be one to remember, and boy would it be one we would never forget! Nicole and Jerome, THANK YOU for allowing Uptown Entertainment to be part of such a magically epic day. We truly could not have imagined it any other way. Westin Poinsett Hotel Wedding DJ | Greenville, SC | Madison and Haden

Haden and Madison’s beautiful winter wonderful celebration was one of the last of the year, and it was absolutely magical. On December 19th three years prior to that day, Haden had asked Madison to be his girlfriend. They felt it was only appropriate to keep that date close to their hearts by tying the knot on that exact day. Not only was this the dating anniversary but it was also Madison’s parents wedding anniversary. This day was filled with so much love and joy and we were thrilled to be a part of it. 

Haden and Madison chose to get married at one of Greenville’s favorite wedding destinations, The Westin Poinsett Hotel. To see this venue through the year is one thing, but to see it at Christmas time is a whole other! They take decking the halls to the extreme are we are here for it each and every year. Not only did Haden and Madison have beautiful Christmas trees lit with holiday lights, the gorgeous uplighting helped accent the room perfectly.

Greenbrier Farms Wedding DJ | Easley, SC | Claire & Hart

Claire and Hart picked one of the most romantic spots for their ceremony this past October. Looking down on all the Fall foliage and beautiful mountain tops, it truly could not have been more picturesque than that. The YMCA Camp Greenville Look Out, or better known as “Pretty Place Chapel”, was the perfect place for them to tie the knot.  

After the vows were said, it was time to party and what better place to have that party than the Greenbrier Farms located in Easley, South Carolina. We are not at this beautiful farm to table venue enough but when we are, we make the most of it. See our previous blog post on why we love Greenbrier Farms so much! 

Claire and Hart danced the night away with the family and friends and love every minute of it. We had the best time celebrating with them and watching their loved ones surround the newlyweds with love and happiness. Edinburgh West Wedding DJ | Taylors, SC | Julia and Josh

Julia and Josh met almost 7 years ago while tailgating at a Florida Georgia Line concert with mutual friends; and when we met them, we knew instantly they would be a fun couple to party with. Even through the COVID chaos, they had so much energy and excitement about starting their lives together as husband and wife. Although Julia and Josh had to reschedule their wedding from earlier that year, their new date, December 31st, 2021, was ultimately the best decision they could have ever made.

Josh and Julia chose one of Greenville County’s most unique wedding venues, Edinburgh West. This stunning all glass English conservatory sits on a 16-acre estate in Taylors, South Carolina just minutes away from Downtown Greenville. Edinburgh West is an all-inclusive venue that offers everything from catering to florals for their couples. 

Their guests we full of energy just like Julia and Josh from the moment they entered the reception. They filled their evening dancing, the mirror photo booth and celebrating not only the happy couple but the new year as well.

Westin Poinsett Hotel Wedding DJ | Greenville, SC | Natalie and John Paul

Natalie and John Paul came to us ready to party from the get go and we just knew it they would be the perfect fit. These two were both full of energy and eager to get married and celebrate their union with the ones they love the most. And after meeting with them, we could not hardly wait either!

Natalie and John Paul chose to get married at Furman’s Daniel Chapel with their reception being held at the Westin Poinsett Hotel in Downtown Greenville, South Carolina. From beautifully hung draping that was accented with uplighting, to fresh florals that covered the room from end to end, Natalie and John Paul’s reception was a true late summer dream. Their guests came to celebrate and party and they did just that. We could not have asked for a better group to celebrate and we wish we could do all over again!

Maybe it was the first date with tacos, maybe it was amortentia but either way these two muggles were destine to be together forever. As if these two were not already cute either, they also have a modern day love story. They met on a dating app, their first date was at a taco shop, and they bonded over their love for all things Harry Potter. 

Marissa and Patrick chose one of Anderson’s newest wedding venues, Huitt Farms. Located on a beautiful farm land estate, Huitt Farms is wall to wall white shiplap that creates the perfect backdrop for any theme and style the couple is looking for. We partied, we danced, we ate GREAT food. Basically, all things needed for the most epic wedding reception, we had covered. Marissa and Patrick, thank you for letting us be part of such a great dance party! Megan and Cory are a fun-loving couple that we fell in love with from day one. They chose one of Anderson, South Carolina’s most beautiful venues, The Oaks Wedding Venue. This venue is stunning from the moment you enter the gates with the 10-foot, double doors that were carved in the 18th century from French Oak to the hand crafted, limestone fireplace. 

Cory and Megan brought a crowd that really knew how to party and everyone had the best time celebrating the newlyweds.  To the newly Mr. and Mrs. Crews, we were so honored to be part of your special day and cannot wait to party with you again one day soon! Rocky River Plantation Wedding DJ | Anderson, SC | Madi & James

To say that James and Madi were faced with multiple obstacles during the last few months leading up to their wedding would be an understatement. COVID not only pushed back their wedding celebration from the original April date but also changed the venue a few times as well. Throughout all the changes Madi and James both continued to show us that love always prevails. 

Madi and James chose to tie the knot at a beautiful estate in Anderson, South Carolina called Rocky River Plantation on the 4th of July. Rocky River Plantation was built in 1913, and has been handed down through several prominent families over the years. Once known as Valley View, this exquisite home now serves as an event venue where history, tradition and elegance are brought together. 

Their tented reception was one for the books! Their guests came prepared to celebrate this special couple in every way imaginable. The dance floor was packed with dancing queens and shirtless groomsmen. Halfway through the evening, Madi and James snuck away for a firework photoshoot and trust us when we say the picture do not do it justice! 

James and Madi, thank you for giving us something else to celebrate this year! We were truly honored to have been part of your special day. Bleckley Inn Wedding DJ | Anderson, SC | Carole Cochran & Christopher

Tucked in the heart of downtown Anderson, South Carolina, the Bleckley Inn is a beautiful little boutique hotel that quickly became the ideal location for a late May wedding. There were so many things to be celebrated on that holiday weekend; Memorial Day, the rain (finally!) and having impeccable weather just long enough for these Phillips Family and Howard Family come together as one. 

From the moment she made her way down the aisle to her groom, we instantly had butterflies in our stomachs. It was like Christmas morning all over again. Something that was once part of daily lives that we had taken so for granted had become a true treasure to witness. Carole Cochran and Christopher weathered such a crazy and uncertain time like champs, and definitely inspired us to do the same. It was our first Saturday back in the game in over 8 weeks, and boy did it feel GREAT to be behind the turn table again! From the ceremony to the sendoff, we were in full wedding swing and loving every second of it. 

Before we knew it, the vows had been exchanged and we were introducing them as Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Howard to their family and friends that had come from near and far. Fresh florals and peaches filled the reception hall and gave it that perfect “Southern Wedding” feel. As their guests made their way outside to the tented courtyard the party began. Midway through the reception, Christopher and his Groomsmen had a wardrobe change into American flag tuxedo shirts. As Christopher spun has beautiful new bride around on the dance floor, we all knew what everyone was thinking, “‘Merica!”, and what could be more Southern than that?! Carole Cochran and Christopher continue to dance the night away as they were surrounded by their loved ones.

Bleckley Station Wedding DJ | Anderson, SC | Paiten & Richmond

In a high school engineering class sat two young kids who barely knew each other’s last name. As years passed and friendships grew, so did their fondness for one another, and on January 6th, 2012 Richmond asked Paiten to be his girlfriend. Fast forward nine years later, he could not believe that after knowing someone as generous as Paiten for 10+ years they would become husband and wife in just a few short hours. As Paiten made her way gracefully down the aisle he could barely take his eyes off her. Not only was it hot outside on that late June afternoon, but sparks were flying inside from the moment Paiten and Richmond said “I Do”. 

 Richmond and his groomsmen looked dapper in their black tuxedos, while Paiten and her bridesmaids looked flawless in their beautiful long black dresses. The reception tables were filled with stunning gold frame centerpieces that were handmade by Richmond which elevated the elegant florals. Paiten and Richmond had always shared a love for an old school polaroid and wanted to spread that love with their guests as they invited them to add polaroids to their guestbook.

 While meeting with Paiten and Richmond during planning, they stressed to us the importance of having a huge party for their reception, and that’s definitely what they got. Their guests showed up and showed out! From shagging to dropping it low, they never missed a beat. In the midst of the fun, we brought out the Cyro Cannon and Paiten blew her guests away (literally). 

 Looking back on this divine June day we are reminded of simpler times and that love is truly all you need. Paiten and Richmond, it was an honor to be part of your beautiful day. From the ceremony to the sparkler exit, it was nothing less than magnificent. We wish you many years of love and happiness!
